Stroud staged it's Goodwill Evening a week after Nailsworth, and like the one in Nailsworth, it turned out to be a rip roaring success, with a packed evening of varied entertainment.

Loads of stalls lined the streets, with music and generator noise all shouting for attention. The fairground was back again in the Falkes Place carpark, conveniently located for the conveniences.

The boys in blue turned up in bright yellow, as photographed, while the Mexican clothing stand was doing a roaring trade in moustaches.

The newly refurbished Subscription Rooms forecourt became an ice rink, while a member of the Samba Band who play regularly at many events in the town ( and no doubt else where) and have a large local following, kept an eye on the proceedings from his lofty position atop his stits.

The photographs for this news item were provided by Nicky K from Stroud.
