A new book is now available entitled 'The Nailsworth and Stroud Branch' which gives a valuable insight to the now disused Dudbridge to Nailsworth branch line. The book has plenty of photographs showing the towns railway station as it once was, track plans and numerous stories like how the engine drivers would shall we say 'swap some coal' for a pint of ale at strategic points along the line.

You can find out the type of goods that were transported by the railway and view some old timetables and tickets, plus of course much more. The book is published by The Oakwood Press, ISBN number is 0-85361-559-4 and is £11.95.
