The above photograph shows the P.O. leaving the Nailsworth Valley. The flames from it's two modified Vauxhall Nova engines can be clearly seen.

Today, Thursday 22 NCFSR (Nailsworth Centre For Space Research) launched it's MK3, prototype, low energy consumption 'Passenger Orbiter' (P.O.).

The P.O. as seen in the accompanying photograph struggled to gain altitude in the still evening air, but eventually managed to heave itself out of the valley before shortly disappearing over Minchinhampton Common.

The N.C.F.S.R press office later admitted that the experiment was a total failure as within ten minutes the microwave link failed after the dish fell off the basket causing £5000 worth of damage to a conservatory in Box.

N.C.F.S.R are now making ready the big bright red rescue aircraft stored at Nailsworth International Airport in hanger 7 to fly out to Svalbard to retreive the P.O. and crew.
