Following our last two reports on the discovered painting by Claus Vandenburg that reached half a million pounds at auction, the Nailsworth Chronicle has been passed information from yet another of our undisclosed sources to the effect that the painting was in fact a fake, and was painted by the owner of nailsworth.com after a few beers for something to do.
NI5, Nailsworth's Secret Service are currently looking into this matter and probably won't tell us anything more on the subject. But they might.
But if they don't, It will probably just end up as another of those strange 'Nailsworth Mystries', that we can all talk about on those cold dark winter nights while sitting in front of the crackling log fires in our homes with a cup of tea and a plate of biscuits.
