Longfords Mill Update - August 20th 2001

The latest on the Longfords Mill development shows that the rather large, black oil tank that connected to the boiler house has been cut up and removed, leaving the rather interesting sight seen in the photograph on the left.

The other item of interest is the clearing of what could be described as the jungle. The jungle is down by the new (er) loom sheds, but on the other side of the ditch.

The removal of said jungle reveals a quite interesting enclosure. The whole area is bound by a very high red brick wall, with a single entrance into it. As it seems to have white paint on it, then maybe it was part of a building? If anyone has any idea on this one please let me know.
