The title of this piece is a little exaggerated, but as I drove past the old hotel I saw a quantity of the rendering fall from the building, almost hitting a pedestrian. This does of course raise the question of 'is it safe' and 'is it about time something was done about it'. Obviously the pile of rubble on the pavement was removed pretty quickly!

While on the subject of the George, the recently opened bar in the renovated part of the building has been closed since the new year.
