This weekend (July 18-19) saw Nailsworth awash with famous faces from the film world who were attending the second 'Nailsworth International Film Festival'.

Most of the characters flew in directly from the USA, landing at Nailsworth City Airport, located just out of the town. Helecopters were then used to transport the stars to the town centre, landing in the bus station. A big yellow 'H' was 'chalked' on the ground for the chopper to land on.

Autograph hunters were out in force, while Inspector Oldmarket was trying his best to keep the traffic build up to a gentle snarl.

The event was a total success, said the organisers spokeswomen, Angelica Desire, adding that we will definitely be holding another event in two years time. My ace reporter Ferdinand Blowout tracked down Burt Reynolds, having a great time in the town centre Casino. 'Sure am having a swell time' he told Blowout, while at the same time losing 5000 quid.

Hopefully, this will kick start Nailsworth's declining film industry back into action.
