Subspace Communications Systems

Running ever so slightly behind schedule is the subspace communications pack. It's a little unfortunate that this project is behind because it was envisaged that a prototype 'pack' could have been tested with the May launch or the NCFSR Mars Equator Surveyor (MES).

The subspace communicator (TSC) allows the two-way transmission of radio between the MES and Earth without any of the delay associated with normal radio transmissions. The TSC uses a special 'subspace field lubricator' that effectively lubricates the particles in space that would normally slow down radio waves. The now lubricated particles offer no measurable delay to radio signals at all. The TSC uses a special item of organic matter to extract vital lubricating energy from.

This technology is still in it's infancy but trials so far have proved very promising.
